SUGAR MATTE AS HELL CRAYON LIPSTICK – ROSE DAWSON

SUGAR cosmetics has recently launched their new lipstick in the Matte as hell crayon lipstick range. They have already  had 4 lip crayons before which the best sellers and now they came up with another lippie. I first heard the news from them on their Instagram page and without any further delay I immediately booked for mine. The name, its color and matte things really made me buy this lip crayon.

PACKAGING, FORMULA, LONGEVITY EXPERIENCE:      The Sugar Matte as hell crayon lipstick comes in a cute cartoon printed cardboard box with their unique style. I love their packaging. On the box, there is every detail printed. Inside the box is the regular matte as hell lip crayon. Black crayon with a color coded ending and also the logo of Sugar and the shade name mentioned on the crayon. This lip crayon comes with a free sharpner as well. So this is not a retractable lip crayon.

The shade Rose Dawson is a beautiful soft rosy pink shade. The lipstick is well pigmented. In one swipe it comes out opaque coverage on the lips. For those who have darker lips(like me) have to go on for 2-3 coats. It is extremely buttery soft in texture and glides on the lips easily. There is no tugging while the application, unlike other matte lipsticks which are extremely hard to apply. Due to its buttery texture, it applies into a creamy lipstick while application, but it settles into a beautiful matte finish.

IMG_20160906_111340.jpg The lip crayon stays on for a good 6 hours and as usual the lipstick struggle starts. Need to reapply it. And it is transfer proof once blotted down with a tissue. I always prefer to blot any of my lipstick to remove the excess and also to mattify the look. I prefer matte in everything.

Overall, Rose Dawson shade from Sugar cosmetics is one kind of lippie every girl should own. Perfect for daily wear. Brings life to the lips. And whenever I use this lip crayon, it reminds me of my Rose Dawson from Titanic movie. Just as soft and subtle.
