Phew! Isn’t that title a mouthful. Yes. And I think I would be the last person to get my hands on this Holiday Collection 2016 from Tarte Cosmetics. Back during the Holiday season, Tarte cosmetics launched a whole bunch of Holiday Collection with really amazing and adorable sets. Tarte is the best in their ideology, they always bring us awesome products every season. And I must admit that they have the best packing ever. I had a few sets n my wishlist from this collection, but I wasn’t ready to give them a shot, like I wasn’t ready to invest in about 4-5k on a set. But this makeup obsession finally made me buy this TARTE LIMITLESS LIPPIES DELUXE TARTIEST CREAMY MATTE LIP PAINT SET. And ofcourse this is a Limited Edition set.
The TARTE LIMITLESS LIPPIES DELUXE TARTIEST CREAMY MATTE LIP PAINT SET includes 8 deluxe Tarteist Creamy Matte lip paints. It comes in a set of two boxes inside, with 4 lip paints in each set. You can keep it for yourself as I do, or gift it to your friends or family. It has got this cute to-from option at the back of each set for gifting purpose.
This set includes the shades :
This whole set was priced at $42, I bought mine from an instagram page. Each lip paint in the set contains of 1 ml/0.034 Fl. Oz of product, where as in a full sized lip paint we get a 6 mL /0.20 Fl. Oz.
The formula of these lip paints is a light weight creamy and mousse kind of. They feel comfortable on the lips. They do apply smoothly and evenly on the lips without any tugging. These lip paints do take some time to set down to a semi-matte or satin matte finish, which I meant to say that these are NOT at all matte. These just look matte to eyes, but they do transfer a lot. Even the slightest touch of your lips to anything, they do transfer on to it.
The lip paints provide a decent pigmentation and they go opaque in single swipe itself. These do wear off easily within 4 hours of application. They don’t even survive a cup of coffee or even a glass of water. The darker shades- Soul and Juicy did leave a slight tint behind even after wiping it off with a makeup remover. I didn’t find any problem with the lighter shades. These lip paints have a strong mint fragrance to them, which I’m not a big fan of. I basically hate to wear minty smelling lipsticks, they seem to disturb me a lot.
Overall, if you are a lipstick addict like me who wants to try out new formula, then you can give these a try. However, this set is a limited edition which is gone forever now, but they have a ton of other shades in full sizes. Not a big fan of their formula, but tarte has done a pretty good job in the shades selection.
