Hey SUGAR babiesss!!
A week ago SUGAR COSMETICS has launched their AS NUDE AS IT GETS SPF15 COMPACT. They came up with face products this time with 3 initial shades of the compact powder, which actually disappoints me because I know the struggle of finding the true match for our skin and with just 3 basic shades, it’s a total disappointment. I got mine from this month’s Fab Bag, who are the first to have us access to try these compacts. So FabBag’ers will be getting first chance to pick their own shade and try the new SUGAR AS NUDE AS IT GETS SPF15 COMPACT.

HOW TO USE :
- Step1 : Cleanse and moisturise your face. Using a face primer will help makeup stay on longer and give an even, smooth base.
- Step2 : Use a concealer on the areas that require coverage followed by a foundation to blend evenly
- Step3 : Now take the SUGAR As Nude As It Gets SPF15 Compact in a shade that matches your skin tone and apply it all over the face with the sponge applicator. While using the sponge, ensure that you first dab the product and pat well onto the skin and then blend it evenly. This technique provides coverage and also makes the skin look flawless.
SHADE : I got the shade 03 MACCHIATO, which the last shade out of the three available shades. And lucky enough that this shade pretty much matches my skin tone. It suits my warm honey toned skin very much.
PACKAGING : From the boring old round compact designs, we have something new and classy now. The Sugar As Nude As It Gets SPF15 Compact comes in a total retro packaging. The outer box is as usual the Sugar Themed with textured lady print on it along with the Sugar logo on it. The name and shade of the compact is also on the box itself. And coming to the compact, it comes in a square matte case with a full sized mirror inside. I totally love this whole packaging. And I really wished the compact case has the same colored Sugar theme too. It also comes with it’s own sponge applicator, which I’m not a fan of. I generally replace all my favorite compact’s applicator with a mini powder puff, which am comfortable with. And the best part- the pressed powder has a ‘S’ symbol embossed, which makes me feel that it is sooo much customized for me, as my name starts with ‘S’.
TEXTURE, FORMULA AND PIGMENTATION :
The Sugar As Nude As It Gets compact has a smoothest texture to it. The powder is very very finely milled and pressed. It doesn’t have any kind of fragrance to it. The formula feels very lightweight on the skin. This powder blends into the skin very easily and gives a matte look.
The pigmentation of the powder is very decent. Not that great pick up of the powder with the first swipe itself. In the first application itself do not expect that this powder would cover up dark spots and blemishes and uneven skin tone. It does not show up any white cast on the face nor it cakes up my face. I use it with my Real Techniques powder brush to set my foundation in place, and it blends and sets in like a dream. Layering on this powder is optional, coz I had no problem in applying two-three coats alone on my face without any foundation/concealer. It didn’t feel any heavy or caked up, unless blended in properly with a brush rather than just pressing it with the sponge applicator.
In this ultra hot summer, this powder stayed on my face for 4 hours, after which I really tend to produce oils in my T-zone area and I need to reapply. In normal weather, I bet it would have stayed for much more longer time.
Overall, the Sugar As Nude As It Gets SPF15 Compact is good grab if you’re someone like me who likes to try out new stuff. But if you’re looking for a good coverage compact, this is not your cup of tea. I am totally impressed by its cutesy classy packaging though.
