It feels so good when new launches of brands from some other countries launch nearly at same time. About 2-3 weeks back, I posted a pic on my Instagram about the new launch of Loreal Paris in Singapore, where they launched the new Rouge Magique collection. And OMG here we have them. Yes, India recently bought these bundle of happiness to us. And I’m not sure if these are available with the stores, but I first noticed these on Nykaa online store. Yes, so I guess its Nykaa who bought them(correct me if I’m wrong). The LOREAL PARIS ROUGE MAGIQUE LIPSTICKS come in 12 different shades ranging from NUDES to BROWNS to REDS to PLUMS. So there is a shade for every girl.
L’Oreal Paris launches a new generation of matte lipsticks with intense colour pigments and most comfortable wear. Enriched with nourishing oils, pure matte pigments, and hydrating honey, Rouge Magique dresses your lips with the most intense matte colors! It’s MAGIQUE, in a stroke.
- Hydrating honey formula for comfortable wear
- Pure Matte pigments give the intense color
- Jojoba and canina oil for nourishment.
PRICE : INR 650/- for a 3.9g of product.
SHADES : There are about 12 shades in this collection.
- 904 Divine Mocha
- 905 Vin Exquise
907 Mauve Petal
908 Purple Comtesse
909 Royal Veloute
911 Scarlet Déjà vu
915 Dazzling Crush
917 Tropical Sorbet
924 Secret Date
925 Peach Perfect
926 Pinky Promesse
932 Mont Blanc
I bought the shades – 907 MAUVE PETAL and 908 PURPLE COMTESSE.
MAUVE PETAL is a dusty rose shade with purple undertones.
PURPLE COMTESSE is a plumy maroon shade. But why is this called Purple when it doesn’t even have any hint of it.
The Loreal Paris Rouge Magique lipsticks come in a matte black and hot pink metallic packaging. This is a whole new level of packaging from this brand and I pretty much like it. It is definitely a sleek and travel friendly one.
The texture and formula of these Rouge Magique lipsticks is very smooth and soft. They have matte formula which is non-drying and these lipsticks glide on the lips effortlessly without any dragging. The formula doesn’t settle in the fine lines except for chapped lips people who need to prep the lips beforehand. These lipsticks set to a complete matte if given some time to settle down. The lipsticks have moisturizing properties, the honey and jojoba oil in them keep the lips hydrated and doesn’t make the lips dry. The lighter shades would go good on lighter skin tones as they have all nudey shades and I think they wouldn’t compliment the darker skins.
These lipsticks have great pigmentation. One swipe gives most coverage. And two swipes gives complete opaque finish. I generally wear 2 coats after which I press my lips with a tissue paper and go with a third coat to get the maximum coverage and maximum longevity. These are not completely transfer proof, they do transfer like very very very minutely, but that isn’t any problem with me. You definitely need touch ups as it fades away from center of the lips. The darker shades that i have do leave a stain behind. I do not have any idea about the lighter shades though.
As a matte lipstick junkie, I did not find any con’s in these lipsticks. And I’m totally impressed with the new formula too. Would definitely try out some more shade in this range and I recommend them to everyone.
