The outer case of this Sugar Arch Arrival Brow Definer has the same regular classic Sugar theme going on with all the details and description around it. The shade name is also mentioned on the outer box and as well as on the brow pencil. The brow definer comes in a black bodied dual ended, with the brow product at one end which is indicated with the brown shade code body and the other end comes with a spoolie brush. The brow definer comes in this triangle shaped head(thumbs down for my bad description). The pointed tip gives control on drawing precise lines and defining the brow arch and the brow tip. The wide end is used to fill in any sparse spaces in the brow for that natural look. The spoolie brush is absolutely so soft and not at all hard and harsh like other spoolies. It is very comfortable to work with. This brow definer is definitely a travel friendly product, can be easily carried with.
This Jerry Brown shade is a dark brown shade and is perfect for my medium-dark skin tone. The brow wax is kind of very hard and drawing precise lines with this wax is even harder. After a few tries, I scraped the top layer of the wax and then applied. It came out a little better. A light hand while application gives a very light pigmentation. I had to put in much pressure and drag the wax tip to draw the hair lines, which then gave me a medium pigmentation. Overall, this brow definer gives a very light-medium pigmentation, which is actually good for a natural and everyday looks. The pointed tip gives control to draw really precise lines and arch the brows. The texture of this brow definer is definitely waxy and it applies neatly on the brows. And blending job is also very easy with this brow definer, the spoolie bristles kind of helps in blending it the right way. It does not feel any tacky or so. After a few minutes of application, the brow definer settles down and it gives a very natural finish.
The brow definer does not apply well on oily skin/oily base. I have oily forehead and I tried to apply the brow definer to my brows and it did not work at all. It is obvious that wax don’t show up on any oily base, so it is advised to have a clean and prep’ed base to start with. And this brow definer is absolutely smudge-proof, it does not move/budge anywhere once applied to the brows what so ever. It is waterproof also; even after drenching in rains, this brow definer withstood it, it did not come off any. And this Sugar brow definer stayed on for more than 10 whole hours on my brows. Only the brow head part fades a bit at the end of the day and the rest of the brow looks so intact and perfect.
PRO’s of the Sugar Arch Arrival Brow Definer :
- Very sleek and travel-friendly packaging.
- The concept of the precise tip to define the brows along with the spoolie in the other end.
- Blends very easily.
- Waterproof, Smudge proof formula.
- Stays for more than 10 hours.
- Free of mineral oil, preservatives, paraffin & parabens.
- Doesn’t require any additional sharpener.
CON’s of the Sugar Arch Arrival Brow Definer :
- Very light medium pigmentation.
- Hard wax. I wish it was little soft and creamy for more easy application.
- Only 2 shades available.
I have no makeup on, except for a BB cream on, coz brows first and rest next.
Overall, the Sugar Arch Arrival Brow Definer in 01 Jerry Brown shade is a perfect pick for all medium-dark skin tones and those who have/love dark brows. It gives a much natural look filling in all the sparse areas in the brow. This is one brow product to have, which fulfills your brow goals. However, I really have mixed feelings about this, I really liked the cute packaging, the concept behind the brow definer and I love the fact that it literally stays on for the whole day without any smudging. But I’m quite disappointed with the pigmentation and the hardness of the wax. I accept the fact that these kind of brow products should have this kind of consistency, but I really wish the wax was a little more soft and creamy to work with and has a little more pigment(not crazily but a tad bit) to it. And I wish Sugar comes up with more shade variants, coz not everyone has the same brow hair color, and with much improved formula.
P.S. This product was sent as PR and the review is my honest opinion.
Hope you liked the review of the new Sugar Arch Arrival Brow Definer – 01 Jerry Brown. What do you guys think about it??
