SHADES :  This MAYBELLINE INSTANT AGE REWIND ERASER DARK CIRCLES CONCEALER is available in  4 shades –

  1. LIGHT – The lightest of all shades, which has just white tones. Most suited for fair and pale skin tones.
  2. NEUTRAL – Also the lighter pale shade with more yellow toned. Most suited for the fair skin tones.
  3. MEDIUM – A nude shade with yellow undertones. Most suited to the medium-wheatish skin tones.
  4. HONEY – A pinkey-nude concealer most suited to medium skin tone again.

I got the shade 130 MEDIUM with me. Confused between the shades Medium and Honey as both of them very similar except for their undertones, and I’m not into any pink tones concealer, so I finally picked this Medium shade.

The Maybelline Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Concealer comes in a very innovative transparent twisting tube with a sponge applicator for applying the concealer. And it has a clear cap to lock the sponge applicator. The packaging is very easy-to-use kind of and very impressive. The applicator is also very soft and very comfortable for applying under the eyes.

The concealer has a very smooth and creamy texture which glides like butter on the skin. It has a very thin and light-weight formula that blends effortlessly under the eyes. And it has to be worked/blended quickly as it dries up fast after applying. It gives a semi matte finish which has to be set in place with some loose powder. This  concealer does not crease nor settles into the fine lines anywhere. It is very comfortable in wearing this concealer and it brightens the under eye. And it doesn’t get oily anywhere. It gives a medium-high coverage and it is definitely buildable. It doesn’t feel any heavy even though after building it up.

The shade MEDIUM is a yellow toned nude concealer, which is obviously a lighter shade than my skin tone. To me, this concealer serves me as a highlighting shade. I use this Age Rewind concealer for highlighting my under eye area after using a color corrector or a concealer of my shade. It brightens up my under eye area very well. It did last for 6-7 hours without any touching ups in the middle, on a normal day. I don’t think the longevity would decrease on a hot humid day and the concealer does need some extra pamper, because of its very thin consistency, it might start to crease.

See, very very light shade for my skin tone.

Overall, really impressed with the packaging and the quality of this Maybelline Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Concealer, but very disappointed that there aren’t shades for deeper and darker skin tones. Maybelline, when this Age Rewind concealer is that big hit in the market, why did you just stop with only fair shades? We seriously need more and more shades. untitled1
