I’ve got the shades Greige Rage, Teak Mystique, Fiery Berry, Divine Praline and Jet Set Violet. This new collection is mostly about nudes, I find a lot of similar looking everyday shades though.
(Oh okay! All the colors look kinda same in pics)
The packaging is just same as the initials, a square shaped clear mini tube with a matte black cap and a long U-shaped doe-foot applicator, and there’s one additional thing with the new ones, they have the Sugar print on the sides of the cap too which isn’t on the initial ones. These liquid lipsticks reminds us of the Maybelline color sensational velvet matte lipsticks or the Palladio liquid lipsticks, all of them look very similar.
(So I switched on my flash to make it look better.)
I did not find any major formula change or improvement with these SUGAR SMUDGE ME NOT LIQUID LIPSTICKS. It is just the same. These liquid lipsticks apply very smoothly and dry out to a dead matte finish in seconds. They have great pigmentation and they go opaque in just one single swipe or one coat. With the initial releases, I found them quite drying on the lips and these new lipsticks are quite better (like a very little). I feel that these aren’t that super drying on lips. And moreover the darkest shades do stain lips little bit and are quite patchy while application, they need a 2nd coat for that even look. These lipsticks do not smudge or feather throughout the day, they just stay in place intact with the lips. These do not crumble either. With the drying formula they kind of enhances the lip cracks very much, so a good lip prep is a must before wearing these lippies. And they stay on for 6-8 hours, with a little coming off from the inner rim of the lips (I guess this is obvious with any liquid lipstick).
Let’s take a look at how the shades I picked look in real –

Overall, I love the new shades of the new SUGAR COSMETICS SMUDGE ME NOT LIQUID LIPSTICKS, very wearable for everyday looks, most of them being towards the nudes and browns, and being very affordable too. I really wish Sugar just improvises its drying formula to something better.
