I bought this cushion foundation when Innisfree launched their ‘Eco-Handkercheif Campaign’ with ‘Use A Hanky, Save The Earth’ theme, and so you see the beautiful eco-hanky. And also they had the limited edition cushion cases. This cushion foundation is actually a customizable one. Innisfree has a variety of cases to choose from and different foundations for different skin types. So, we need to buy all the parts separately and then assemble them together to make your own customized Cushion Foundation. I’m not sure if this is the case when bought directly from the store or not, but since I bought it online from Nykaa, I had to buy them individually – the Cushion foundation, the Cushion case and the Beauty Tool Magic puff. And this is my Innisfree Cushion Foundation!
PRICE : ♦ Innisfree LongWear Cushion Foundation Refill – INR 900/-
♦ Innisfree Cushion Case (Limited Edition) – INR 650/-
♦ Innisfree Beauty Tool Air Magic Puff – INR 150/-
Luckily, I picked everything during the Nykaa SALE, so it obviously costed me much less than the original pricing. Thanks to Nykaa Sale offers, they really come to my rescue.
HOW TO USE : Use puff to evenly smooth over face in the stage of foundation and gently pat to finish. Reapply by gently patting whenever desired.
My Innisfree LongWear Cover Cushion case came in this really pretty limited edition packaging along with my Eco Handkerchief with my purchase. Since already known, Koreans have the best and cutest, yet very innovative packaging ever as you see here. I absolutely love this cushion case, even if I finish the foundation inside the case I guess I’m either carrying empty case in my handbag or I’ll replace my other brand foundation base/refill into this and use it again. It is definitely a travel-friendly packaging as it has very secure lid over the cushion foundation which prevents it from spilling out and which acts as a space to keep the blending puff too. It also comes with a full sized mirror, which is a yay for me.
I have the shade W33, which falls under the warm category of foundations and which is the last shade of foundation, yet being one shade lighter for my skin tone. This W33 shade would be perfect match for NC42 skin tones, and since I’m one shade darker than NC42, this foundation shade is one shade lighter to me. It has yellow and orange tints to it, which makes it suitable for Indian skintones, but even after blending thoroughly there’ll be a white cast on the face which is nothing but the sunscreen filter of SPF 50+ PA+++ present in it.
This Innisfree Longwear Cover foundation has a liquid-powder foundation formula, which is light-weight and feels very comfortable on the skin. It has quite a thin consistency which is buildable. The foundation sets to a very slightly dewy finish (on my oily skin), which is to be set with any compact powder or loose powder. If you’re a person who likes dewy finished foundations, then you’ll love these cushion foundations. The foundation has a light-medium coverage which gives a very natural finished look. I do not recommend such medium sheer coverage foundations to people with uneven skin tone and hyperpigmentation issues, as this would do nothing in case of coverage. I prefer to use the foundation with the magic puff that is supposed to be used along with and it does work well for me. The puff picks up a lot of product in one single press into the cushion. It pretty much gives a sheer medium coverage on my skin and it does not cover any of my blemishes and spots. I set this foundation with a loose powder and I’m done for the day. This cushion foundation did last for a whole 6-7 hours on my oily skin and i had to go for a touch up after 6 hours where the foundation fades away around my eyes, my T-zone and corners of my mouth.
Final verdict, if you are someone who likes to try a new foundation then I’d recommend this foundation. And If you’re someone who likes a light-weight, long lasting foundation that gives a natural looking finish, I’d totally recommend this Innisfree LongWear Cover Cushion Foundation. But I’m quite disappointed with the shade range it comes in. By now Koreans knew that their products are worldwide so popular and most used, so why not they start to develop products and foundation and lipstick shades that suit all types of skintones, I really hope so this comes true in mere future atleast.
