I’ve never come out from the cloud of Maybelline Baby Lips Lip balm, ever since I heard about them. Even though there were a lot of other lip balms out in the beauty market, I always reach out to the BabyLips only. Recently, I’ve discovered the PALMER’S COCOA BUTTER FORMULA LIP BALM which have been in the Indian markets lately. And from the day I started using the Palmer’s Lip Balm, I’ve loved them. In this post, I’ll be talking about these new Lip balms.

SHADES : The Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Ultra Moisturizing Lip Balm in 3 flavors/variants –

I have two of them, ORIGINAL and the DARK CHOCOLATE & CHERRY. I’m not a big fan of minty flavored lip balm and so I haven’t even have my eyes on the other one.

The lip balms come in a oval shaped retractable lip balm sticks, rather than the regular round ones. The body and everything is being white, and every lip balm is differentiated using a blue, red and green colored strip for the Original, Dark Chocolate & Cherry and the Dark Chocolate & Mint ones respectively on the body of the lip balm. Overall, they’re very convinient to carry them during any travel or throw  them in our handbags.

Unlike the creamy, glossy lip balms which I’m quite uncomfortable to wear, these Palmer’s Cocoa Butter lip balms have a waxy texture to them,  which makes it hug the lips and moisturize them. They have a very light-weight formula, it almost feels like you don’t have anything on your lips. The Original Lip balm has a clear color to the balm and applies clear as well, whereas the Dark Chocolate & Cherry Lip balm has a red cherry color to the balm which gives a hint of red tint to the lips. Due to the waxy and non-shiny formula, the clear lip balm can be used as a lip primer to prep the lips for any liquid lipstick or matte lipstick application.

The Original lip balm has a faint smell of vanilla pods to it, but it doesn’t taste anything. And the Dark Chocolate & Cherry one smells exactly like Dark Chocolate and tastes like cherries. I love the latter one so much, I reach out to it more often recently. My lips feel moisturized for a good 3-4 or a maximum of 5 hours period, after which my lips get dry. These lip balms are like okay-ish kind of ones, they don’t provide any prolonged hydration to the lips. If you’re someone who have extremely dry and chapped lips, you’d need much more heavier moisturization than what these lip balms provide.

Overall, if  you’re looking for a good affordable, travel-friendly and non-shiny lip balms then I’d definitely suggest you try these PALMER’S COCOA BUTTER FORMULA LIP BALM with an added benefit of it having SPF15 in it which protects the lips from sun damage. For people who have extremely dry chapped lips, I’d suggest them to give these a skip, as you need much  more extra moisturizing balm for your lips.

Did you try these PALMER’S COCOA BUTTER FORMULA LIP BALM SPF15?? Which flavored/shade ones did you like from this collection??
