Its Makeup Revolution again, who stuns us with its most affordable and mind-blowing products. I was stunned to see their £4 Conceal & Define Concealers just take over the internet and the makeup world, and said to be the dupe for Tarte Shape-Tape Concealers. And when these most hyped concealers landed in India, I couldn’t resist to get my hands on these. In this post, I’d be talking about these super babies.
The concealer for everyone! 25 shades ranging from fair to deep; in cool, neutral and warm undertones. Lightweight yet full coverage concealer to cover blemishes, even skin tone and counteract dark circles, with a matte finish that won’t settle or accentuate fine lines and pores. Long wearing intense pigment that can also be used to contour and add definition. Our large doe foot applicator allows for smooth application that won’t drag on the delicate skin under your eyes. VEGAN, CRUELTY FREE.
PRICE : £4. In India this concealer retails for INR 695/-
It is available at HOK makeup website, and I believe I got these from the same for about 595/- as soon they launched it. And I’ve no idea why did the price hike up. Or else these can be bought through any of your favorite Insta-seller.
SHADES : The Conceal & Define Concealers first came in 18 shades after which seven more shades got included, making it a family of 25 shades. There’s a shade for every skin tone for every aspect – be it for concealing, or highlighting or even contouring or bronzing.
I picked up two shades from this range – C10 and C12, which seemed to be close to my skin shade.
- C10 – For medium skin tones with a golden undertone
- C12 – For medium/dark skin tones with a neutral undertone
With addition of the newer shades C10.5 and C12.5, I’d like to test and try them and few more other shades as well.
Packaging, these Conceal & Define Concealers come in a clear cylindrical tube with a rose gold screw lid, and with rose gold labeling as well. The concealer comes with a huge doe-foot applicator wand for neat and smooth application. The shade name is mentioned on a small sticker at the bottom of the tube as well as below the bar code. It is very convenient to carry it in any handbag or travel bag. I totally love the simple chic packaging.
HOW TO USE :
- Apply a few dots under your eyes and blend out using a synthetic brush or damp blending sponge under blended and flawless.
- Apply 1 dot to blemishes or dark spots and blend with finger, brush or sponge, building up if necessary.
- To contour dot a shade 2-3 shades darker than your complexion around the perimeters of your face, in the hollows of your cheekbones and anywhere you wish to give extra definition, and blend out with a synthetic brush or sponge.
- For added staying power, finish with a setting powder and fixing spray to lock your flawless finish in place all day.
This concealer is a full coverage, highly pigmented concealer. It is quite thick in formulation but it be sheered out and blended accordingly. A dot or two is enough to conceal/highlight the under eyes for a daily look, and a bit more for Insta-makeup looks. The concealer blends out like a dream under the eyes and it highlighted my face really good. It has such a light-weight formula. It honestly just makes your skin look the best it possibly can. It is a full coverage concealer, but it doesn’t look cakey or too much on the skin or under the eyes. It just gives a flawless(simply flawless) results. I’m shook how effortlessly it blends and leaves the skin so flawless. All you need to do is hydrate and prep your skin or wherever you wanna apply the concealer, for a silky smooth base.
For me, C10 is a highlighting shade – so I use it to highlight my under eyes, forehead, bridge of my nose and chin area. And C12 is the exact shades as my skin tone – so use it as a spot concealer or some times use it to conceal my under eyes during days when I don’t wanna wear too much makeup. C12, when used light-handedly gives me like a ‘its my skin’ kinda feel. These concealers did stay for a long period without any creasing.
Overall, these Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealers are hands down the best concealer I’ve ever tried. I’d definitely recommend these to everyone. There’s a shade for everyone out there! I’d love to try out some more lighter and darker shades for correcting/highlighting and contouring/bronzing or even mix and match with my foundation. Totally loving these after my Maybelline Age Rewind concealers.
