How to Apply: Gently remove the excess from the applicator first. Use its curved tip to apply the liquid lipstick like a liner. Then swipe the lipstick on to fill in your lips.
Packaging, the Sugar Suede Secret Matte Lipcolor comes with the regular Sugar abstract themed outer carton cardboard box, which has all the details and ingredients list mentioned on it. The shade name is also mentioned on the outer box. Inside resides the beautiful, frosted tube of lipstick with a matte black screw cap. The shade name is mentioned at the bottom of the tube. And also the color of the shade is seen through the frosted tube, but not all shades have the similar colors of what we see outside and what’s there inside.
These lipcolors come with a regular slanted doe-foot applicator, which is actually a smaller sized when compared to any other normal wands. Nevertheless, the tip gives a really clear and crisp edges while applying the lipstick.
These Sugar Suede Secret Matte Lipcolor have a mousse like texture to them, so give a good one swipe opaque pigmentation. But I found a few(in my case, the Nylon Nude) shades do have a liquidy-runny formula. The smooth formula makes the lipcolor glide like a dream without any tugging. With its moussey texture, these lipcolors do give a good one-swipe – almost opaque pigmentation. They give a 80% pigmentation in the first swipe, but you can still work it to 100% opaque finish while the lipstick is still wet itself. People with dark pigmented lips will need to go on twice with the application when working with lighter shades. Layering on twice will only make you feel uncomfortable. These lipcolors do take their time(5-7 minutes) to set, but once set they give the most comfortable velvety matte finish. They are absolutely non-drying and feels so light-weight on lips. It actually feels like you’ve nothing on your lips.
RAYON ROSE is a beautiful dusty brick rose kind of shade. A beautiful everyday kind of shade and one of my favorite from this collection.
NYLON NUDE is a true nude with light hint of pink. It would suit all fair to medium skin tones. On me, it is just a perfect nude shade. Anyone darker than NC43 or so, it would wash them out.
TARTAN TANGERINE is a bright tangy orange shade. It looks way too bright in the first but once it dries down, it gives a beautiful summery vibe. This shade would be good on every skin tone.
FLEECE FUCHSIA is again a bright fuchsia color. On days when you wanna go bright and bold, then this should be your color.
GEORGETTE GRAPE is a beautiful bright plumy shade and another favorite of mine. A universally flattering shade on every skin tone, I must say.
These are absolutely smudgeproof, but not completely transferproof. They are kiss-proof, like they don’t transfer when you kiss on the back of the hand, but when you rub the lips with fingers it kind of comes off. And if you have anything oily/greasy the color starts to fade away from the inside of the lips. Staying power, on my lips these did stay for about 4-5 hours, and right when it was a meal time I observed the fade away of the color from the inner rim of the lips and gradually everything coming off. And its only the brighter and darker shades which leave a slight tint behind. And finally, talking about the removal process, they do come off easily with any normal wet wipes or makeup removing wipes.
