I absolutely love warm bright eyeshadow shades. But I never thought I’ll end up falling in love with this palette. This is the palette that I’ve been using the most these days and I absolutely love everything about it. Okay, by the title you might have already known that I’m talking about the Wet N Wild Rosé in The Air Eyeshadow Palette. This palette has been raved so much and everywhere on the internet(I mean Instagram) and is said to be an exact dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette (except for the 4 extra shades in ABH palette). So, when Wet N Wild launched these palettes in India I took a chance and grabbed one for myself. Till date this particular palette goes out of stock very often on almost all websites. In this post, I’ll be talking about this much raved beauty palette and let’s see if it is worth the hype or not.
Powerfully pigmented, buttery-soft, glides on like a dream. That’s what we dreamed up with Wet N Wild’s reformulated Color Icon eyeshadows. The reformulated Color Icon hues come in a mix of coveted colors, from shimmery daytime hues to sultry shades for cocktail hours – including new matte transitional shades for impeccable blending.
- Available in four different coordinating palettes that come with a mixture of shimmer and matte finishes.
- Features a light transition shade for natural looks and a dark transition shade for dramatic looks.
- The formula is pigmented and has a smooth, satiny texture.
Wet n Wild is a Peta-certified, cruelty-free brand. Though not 100% of the products are vegan, but the brand is striving towards making them all vegan friendly!
PRICE : INR 499/- ($4.99) for a 10gm product.
AVAILABILITY : These Wet N Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Palettes are available on Nykaa, Amazon, Flipkart, HOK Makeup, Myntra websites. Or you can get them from any trusted insta-sellers.
I got mine from HOK Makeup when this palette is just not in stock on every website.
Wet N Wild launched their new and improved formula of these Color Icon 10 Pan Eyeshadow Palettes in 4 variants. And in India we’ve only three of them available.
The Rosé in the Air palette comes in a sturdy plastic casing with no mirror and no applicator. I mean for a Rs.499 it is okay to not have all that extra stuff though. But people who’d like to include this palette to their travel kit might find it difficult because you need to get an extra mirror and brushes. Apart from that, everything is a okay for me. Neat and clean palette with the description of the product and a small tutorial/guide on how to use the shadows is mentioned at the back of the palette.
This palette has about 8 matte and 2 metallic/shimmery shades. Talking about the eyeshadows, they are buttery soft and smooth. They have stunningly incredible pigmentation, even the lighter shades pick up great. And the blending job is pretty good with little fallouts here and there, which is common with pressed eyeshadows. This is completely okay for me. The shades are just so gorgeous to create from any simple look to a bold bright look. The mauvey and warm orange, brown shades totally give me fall vibes. They’re my absolute favorite shades. The lighter shades are good enough to be used as a base shade, and as mentioned on the palette – the ‘transition’ shades are really good to bring out the transition and they’re not at all chalky. The brighter and the darker shades(the right side ones) are the most pigmented and worked good even without a primer. But I’d obviously suggest using a primer to bring out the colors/pigments even more. The shimmers did go on well, and again a fix+ or applying it wet would bring out the true metallic shade in it, the gold shade especially.
Unfortunately, as I don’t have the ABH Modern Renaissance palette I cannot talk or compare both of these palettes, but most of the swatches I observed pretty much were exactly duping.
Overall, hands down OMG this Rosé in The Air palette has been my obsession lately and I tend to go for this palette even for my transition shades. I’m totally amazed by everything in this palette – the combination of shades, their texture, formula and its blendability. Anybody, like me, who still cannot afford the ABH Modern Renaissance palette can go for this most budget-friendly dupe in the market and recreate the looks. I’d definitely suggest this palette to everyone, it works for everybody and is suitable to create everyday simple looks as well.
