I should confess that ELF Cosmetics is my absolute favorite brand, for it producing some really amazing and affordable products for us, but I hardly own any of them. Because you’d know that that affordable stuff becomes hell expensive when it reaches to me in India. So I had to wait for some really good deals so that I can steal them. The palette which I’m gonna talk about in this post – Mad For Matte Summer Breeze Eye Shadow Palette, is one of them. I had this palette in my wishlist for ever and I happened to grab this in a recent sale, so no regrets now. Let’s see what this palette is about.
This Mad for Matte Eyeshadow Palette in Summer Breeze contains ten, perfectly curated matte eyeshadows for achieving a bold or subtle everyday look. These complementing shades are ideal for shading, highlighting, and defining the eyes. Use the satin matte shadows as liner, on the lid, and in the crease of the eye for an expertly contoured and blended look.
PRICE : $10.00
HOW TO USE :
- Apply a light shade over the eyelid using an eyeshadow brush.
- Next, apply a medium shade over the eyelid or the crease and outer corner of the eye with a blending brush.
- Finally, apply a dark shade in the crease of the eye and along the lower lash line.
- Blend out all the shades to create a smoky, contoured look.
- For long-lasting results, first prime the eyelids with an eyeshadow primer.
Packaging, this eyeshadow palette comes in a black outer carton box with a picture of the palette on it, and all the details about the palette mentioned on it. Inside housed is the eyeshadow palette, which is a plastic cased, quite sturdy and does not include any brush. The palette does come with a full-sized mirror, which is great. The palette quite sleek and very comfortable to carry (only if you don’t worry about it being broken).
The Summer Breeze eyeshadow palette is a complete matte shadow-ed palette. Being a matte lover, how could I miss on this beautiful palette. From the palettes Elf had, I found this Summer Breeze palette a bit colorful and the warm shades being good to my tanned skin. The shade range in this palette is absolutely beautiful, it has these perfect nude shades for a soft day look and then it has some deep orangey/brown/mauve shades for a night look- you can get totally creative with this palette.
The shadows are super finely milled and have a flat matte finish. The deeper shades do feel like pure pigments, for the intensity they’ve. These are not dry or patchy or chalky at all, and they blend absolutely smoothly on the lids. They do have very little fallout. These shadows are definitely buildable, because it takes about two layers to get that intense pigment on the eyes. The last five shades have my heart, they’re such gorgeous shades and that black is greatly pigmented. It’s hard to find a good deep black shade in any affordable palette.
Overall, totally impressed by this Elf Mad for Matte Summer Breeze palette. Great palette to grab for just $10.
