DROP EVERYTHING! It’s the must have product everyone is raving about – from Khloe Kardashian to Jourdan Dunn – get your glow on with the incredible ICONIC LONDON ILLUMINATOR DROPS. Ever since I got to  know  about this Iconic London brand and their Illuminator drops, OMG I’ve been in love with them. And after so much wait and enthu, here it is – in my hands and in this post I’ll be talking about this holy highlighter.

This concentrated liquid shimmer can be added to your foundation, primer or moisturizer, or simply used on its own for a super highlighted glow. Available in 3 shades, it can also be used to contour. Every drop of this super-concentrated shimmer elixir glides on smoothly to bestow ultra-blendable glow. Whether worn alone as an enhancer, or mixed with your foundation, primer or moisturizer to create a ‘soft focus’ effect, this lends light to dulled, lack-lustre complexions, and looks stunning when blended along cheek and brow bones to accentuate the ‘high points’ of your face. This super-versatile product can be added to many products in your makeup bag for a touch of luxe.

PRICE – $41 for a 13.5ml product.

I bought mine from an Instagram page @adoremakeup16 for the best(infact the least) reasonable price.

Iconic London Illuminator Original

SHADES –  The Iconic London Illuminator Drops comes in 3 shades suiting fair, medium to deep skin tones.

  1. SHINE : A pink based shimmer to add a pearly shine. Ideal for fair skin tones.
  2. ORIGINAL : A champagne-toned shimmer to add a golden shine. Ideal for medium skin tones.
  3. GLOW : A terracotta toned shimmer that bestows a rich bronze glow. Ideal for darker skin tones.

I bought the shade ORIGINAL, which would suit every medium-deep skin tone babies out there.

  1. Prep your skin with your favorite primer.
  2. Add drops of your Iconic London Illuminator to cheekbones, tip of nose, collarbones and cupids bow.
  3. Use your fingers to tap the product in, gently blending it for a beautiful high gloss look.

The Icon London Illuminator Drops come in a pretty compact and cute little frosted dropper glass bottle. The nozzle of the dropper is quite slanted for easy application and control of the drops.

Iconic London Illuminator Original

The shade ORIGINAL is a golden champagne shade, which is a definitely a universally flaunting shade. It suits almost every skin tone, mainly Indian skin tone too. That’s the reason I opted for this shade. This is the ultimate highlighter in this world I must say. It is extremely and crazily pigmented and that after glow it gives is  to die for. The Illuminator has a runny water like liquid formula, which is very easy to blend into the skin. The light-weight formula also feels very comfortable on the skin. The highlighter just gives a beautiful sheen when blended and there’s nowhere any harsh or gritty glitter chunks in this. Just a tiny amount is required to get that glowing look. That being said, this little bottle will really last long.

I use the illuminator drops to highlight the high points of  my face, basically as a highlighter over my makeup. You can use it before applying the foundation too, but I’m just not comfortable with it. So, I only prefer to use it as a highlighter. And ya, this might sound a bit weird but sometimes I do use it all by itself on my bare skin without any makeup, and yes it does feel and look good (if you’re blessed with good skin). I mostly prefer using fingers to blend such liquid highlighters but when I’m too hygienic I use a small stippling brush to neatly and evenly blend it. I feel that stippling brush really does the job of blending very well. And I don’t think a beauty blender or any sponge would do the work, as the sponges drink up the liquid highlighter and also you find most of the product sticking to the sponge rather the product be on your skin. So, brushes – good for highlighters.

Finally, putting the best possible swatches –

Here’s what this gorgeous looks – I just can’t take my eyes off… This is definitely a blinding glow!!

Only for the fact that it is way too pricey, I would really think in investing on this illuminator orelse, this Iconic London Illuminator Drops is the best liquid highlighter out there. The intensity of the glow it has is out of the world!  untitled1
