Innisfree was initially my first Korean skincare brand that I invested in. Back then we didn’t have access to much Korean brands, it was only the cousin’s duty who stays abroad to get our wishlist checked for us. Innisfree was my first invest when I not-so-into the Kbeauty skincare, but still was excited to try out what the hype is about. And hence ended up buying these two – the Wine Peeling Jelly Softener and the Wine Jelly Sleeping Pack. In this post, I’ll be talking about these two beauties…

This hypoallergenic hydrating peeling softener creates a clear and smooth jelly-like skin as it exfoliates dead skin cells and provides moisture with wine

  • Red wine softens skin and removes dead skin cells.
  • It makes your skin refined and smooth.
  • Highly concentrated red wine ingredient improves skin texture for a brightened complexion.
  • Hypoallergic in nature.

HOW TO USE : After cleansing, pour appropriate amount onto cotton pad and gently sweep over entire face avoiding the eye and lip area. Rinse off with lukewarm water or refine with toner when dead skin cells start to peel off with natural cellulose.

Packaging, the Wine Peeling Jelly Softener comes in a dark plum colored long similar to a mini wine bottle packaging. It has a screw cap, and the bottle comes with a silicone dispenser which is great to control the amount of the product. The jelly softener has a translucent runny gel like consistency and has that sweet wine fragrance to it. I personally like that, but people with sensitive nose or who doesn’t like wine smell might want to stay away from this range completely.

After cleansing my face and pat dry, I like to take generous amount of this solution into my palms, apply it to my face and neck area avoiding the eyes, and then gently massage in circular motions. This is supposed to be used only and only on dry skin. In a minute or so all the dead skin starts to peel off and crumble up. Rinse off with normal or lukewarm water and voila! My skin has never ever felt the softest. The first time I used this, I was literally like ‘Is this a miracle product?’. It clears up the dirt and grime from the skin making it soft, smooth and radiant without drying it. That’s what is all I need! I use this every other day, and I am on my second bottle right now. This peeling solution suits all skin tones but the only caution to be taken is this chemical peel will/might act bad on active acne skin, so guys stay out of it. And sensitive skin people might find it a little irritating on their skin, better have a patch test done before using it.

All the details about the product and the ingredients list etc., is mentioned on a label stuck at the bottom of the jar. This pack has a bouncy creme gel consistency and this one smells like sweet wine as well. Every time I scoop out the cream and come back the next night and open the jar, the creme sets flat as a brand new one. Like, that’s so cool.

This intense moisturizer deeply nourishes the skin while you sleep and restores skin moisture. And this sleeping pack is my last step to my night routine. I take a little and slather on my face and neck, finishing off my night skincare routine. It does absorb quickly into the skin if used alone, other if you’re layering products on then this pack sits like a nice thin layer on the skin. All the ingredients like the Château Margaux Wine extract, Squalene, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Citrus Unshiu Peel Extract, Opuntia Coccinellifera Fruit Extract, Orchi Extract and Camellia Japonica Leaf Extract, all of them revolve around moisturizing, anti-aging and anti-inflammatory properties giving the best to our skin. Every morning I wake up with a much softer and plumper skin. I use it only in my night routine, but dry skin people can use it as a day cream to deeply moisturize their skin.

Overall, I am impressed with this Wine Jelly range from Innisfree. Ever since I’ve started with the Jelly Softener, I reduced the use of physical abrasive exfoliators and my skin has never thanked me enough. The Sleeping Pack deeply nourishes the skin overnight making it look soft and plump. Both of these are very effective and result oriented. I’d definitely recommend them to everyone, especially dry skin people.
