These lipsticks came in without any attention, but girl why isn’t there much bang for these. I know these are already a favorite for few, but for those who don’t know about them, here’s the long launched Colorbar SINFUL MATTE Lipsticks. Or oh, is it that you are waiting for any sale to grab these😋, coz I obviously did get mine from a sale though. I felt the price point was too steep for these, so I had to. Okay, let’s first talk about these beautiful lipsticks in town and then we’ll see its drawbacks. This post is all about the two shades that I picked in this Colorbar Sinful Matte Lipstick range.
Matte that is so rich, so silky, and so bold – it’s practically sinful.

SHADES : The Sinful Matte Lipsticks come in a whooping 24 shades, ranging from nudes, pinks, reds, browns and bolds, what not.
I picked 2 of the shades after a good research whether they’d go good on dusky skin tones or not.
- SIN – is a beautiful dusty rose shade. This has those mauve tones in it.
- XXX – is a rusty brown shade. This is pretty warm toned.
Packaging, the Sinful Matte lipsticks come in an absolute luxe flip-open velvety cardboard box. The box is so adorable and I personally would not throw them and I’m DIY-ing with them. In fact, I took out the sponge inside and there’s enough space to store two lipsticks, and voila I have a cute little travel lippie box! Anyways, there’s information about the product on the box with the ingredients list at the back. Inside housed is the gun metal bodied lipstick which has a magnetic closure. The body is quite of great quality I must say.
Twist up the lipstick to reveal the gorgeousness OMG! The bullet comes out with a heavenly velvet texture. Trust me, I could stare it all day. And it reminds me of the MAC Powder Matte lipstick bullet, very similar. The bullet is quite not sturdy enough, the delicate formula makes it breaks easily.
These lipsticks have a creamy formula to them which will take time to set to a matte finish. They glide on totally smooth without any tugging or pulling. And their pigmentation level is high; pretty impressive though. One coat is enough to get the maximum opacity. And a light dab-dab-dab of them will give that stained lip as well. I love using it both ways. These lipsticks apply as a normal creamy matte lipstick, and do take a while to set to a matte finish. Matte, in the sense a lightweight, comfortable and non-drying matte. This is the formula I’ve been waiting and longing for. If you’re someone like me who don’t want to wait for so long to set, just purse your lips with a tissue paper and voila! And if you think the pigmentation has got light, go for a second coat, and trust me even two coats of this lipstick felt light on my lips.
These lipsticks transfer a very little (like a 1-2 on a scale of 1-10) in the initial hours, and once set they go transfer-proof. These have a non-feathering and smudgeproof formula, I didn’t experience any trouble with these lippers, absolute comforting all the day.
Lemme be really honest, this lipstick is definitely a long staying one, I’d say a good 7 hours without any retouching. For the first 4-5 hours the lipstick is very moisturizing on the lips, totally non-drying. And as the day goes on, it starts to get a little drying (not complaining though, I’m totally okay with it. I’ve seen even worse drying formulas than this). Reapplication is very easy, you can simply go over it. No need to remove the previous ones and then apply. And they do not feel any blotchy or crumbly after reapplication.
