I never thought I’d get a chance to try the Purito products; firstly my gratitude to BeautyBarn for sending me these bunch of Purito skincare goodies for review purposes. These were gifted in the mid January and I had to take a week extra to fully sort my then skincare routine and get on to this Purito thing. And I started my Purito routine by the last week of January. After a thorough 2 month routine, here I am, with my views and thoughts and my experience using the Purito Centella Unscented Recovery Cream. Since I have a bunch of products from them, I thought I’ll make individual posts, probably in the descending order of the routine; hence the Recovery Cream comes first now. Keep an eye for coming posts and keep reading this article.

KEY INGREDIENTS :

  • Centella Asiatica Extract – Centella Asiatica is best-known for its wound-healing abilities. So-called “tiger grass” from the legend that tigers would roll around over this grass to heal wounds. CICA soothes and reduces skin inflammation.
  • Ceramide NP – Ceramide NP is a mild ingredient that does not cause skin irritation due to its structure similar to skin lipid. It strengthens the skin barrier and fends off external stimuli. It keeps skin hydrated by sealing in moisture, preventing evaporation of skin moisture, and maintaining the healthy balance of oil and water.
  • Squalane – This ingredient prevents the evaporation of moisture from the skin and soothes its texture. It is non-irritating, making it great for people with all skin types including sensitive skin.

Packaging, comes in this beautiful absolutely-no-plastic clean and green cardboard packaging which the essential details about the product printed on the box itself. Inside housed is the white tube filled with goodness of Centella Asiatica and Niacinamide. The cream has a thick velvety ‘cream’ texture and it is obviously ‘unscented’ with no added EOs. And mind you, a little goes a long way; yes, a tiny pea size is enough for anyone’s full face application.

I used it mostly in the winters for my extreme dry skin condition, which is why it felt absolutely light and very comfortable. And oh the ingredients in it; the first set of beauties definitely are enough for me to already tell you guys how amazing of a moisturizer it is going to be. The soothing and calming properties of each selected ingredient says it all. This cream is absolutely great for dry, especially sensitive skin people. Or even if you’re suffering from irritated skin or redness issues, this is such a soothing cream. I’d like to tell why I mentioned only dry and sensitive, and not the other skin types. I am by-default a combination skin person, and as long as I used this cream in the cold weathers it was wonderful – a perfect soothing moisturizer. But as soon as the summer sun hits on, my skin just felt congested and my skin not breathing whenever I applied now, so I had to give it a break (although I had very little left in my tube) and just stick to the Unscented Toner and Serum without the Recovery cream routine. Purito claims

Would I recommend this? Absolutely yes if you have dry, normal, sensitive or irritated skin, or even eczema. This is gonna calm and soothe your skin while keeping it moisturized. Oily or combination skin people might stay away from it; I wouldn’t recommend them much unless you have any extra dry patchy skin that you could use on the particular area. Its definitely gonna calm and nourish the skin.
