This review is about the known REVLON COLORBURST MATTE BALM in the shade SULTRY. Probably, I think I would actually be the last person to review this matte balm. But lately, i have been loving the shade and finally got my hands on this stick. I am mostly towards the natural, subtle colors in choosing my  lipsticks and while in search of such shades I found this baby. IMG_20151112_155030.jpg

  • Velvety Matte Look.
  • Moisture Rich Balm.
  • A Matte finish that’s beyond plush. Balm that’s beyond comforting.
  • Our Triple Butter Complex of Shea, Coconut and Mango butters nourishes lips.
  • In 10 collectible, crave-able colors.

PRICE: INR 800 (way too tooo pricey!!)

PACKAGING :   The packaging of these matte balms is the same as their Just Bitten Lipstains format, with a twist up mechanism. I love these twisting ones rather than the real pencil type, as these don’t have any kind of product wastage as you don’t need to sharpen. And they have a matte outer packaging in the same color as the color of the lip balm, which makes it easier to find it in your vanity. These don’t give much precision after a couple of applications as these tend to smooth out the tip.

INGREDIENTS:  For those of you who are particular in choosing ingredients while picking up products, here is the ingredients list. Coz I am not particular about ingredients, and who cares about the long list when u gotta beautiful shade to get your hands on?! IMG_20151112_155351.jpg

TEXTURE:   The texture is so soft, lightweighted, creamy and highly pigmented. Applies in just one stroke, and glides on very easily and evenly on lips. As the Revlon claims, the formula is a very soft, velvety matte and not at all the drying, flaky and peeling. The finish is totally opaque matte. Most matte lipsticks need a prep before hand but this balm  don’t need that. As the name gives you hint- Matte Balm=Matte lipstick+Lip Balm, it moisturises the lips and keeps it hydrated for long.IMG_20151112_155745.jpg

This REVLON COLORBURST MATTE BALM in the shade SULTRY is an absolute yay for me and a must-have lip shade for this winter too. But, the only downside is the fragrance. Gosh!! this has a peppermintey flavour. I mean like, who on earth would like a peppermintey lipstick on her lips? I wouldn’t. I absolutely hate it. But i just love wearing this shade for the color pay off.  {Don’t worry girls…I am at your rescue everytime!! to just get down that bang-on fragrance, just dab a tissue on lips and the smell go off a bit.}

So guys…that is it for this Matte Balm.
