Mascara, for sure, is one beauty weapon you need in your makeup routine. Just a flick of mascara gives you a much awakened look, and brings a huge difference in your appearance. Today’s review is going to be about the Sugar Uptown Curl Lengthening Mascara.

Get ready to stir up a storm with a wink! Here is the SUGAR Uptown Curl Lengthening Mascara – fulfilling all your lash fantasies. Caution: You are about to be the center of attraction with this volumizing, lengthening & curling mascara that comes with a hi-tech curved brush & an extreme black formula. This magic wand easily pulls through each lash smoothly and lays down a generous amount of product in one swipe – giving your lashes a gravity defying lift, an instant curl and a dramatic voluminous look that’s smudge-proof and clump-free, lasting for 8+ hours.

  • Create fluttery fullness with this ergonomically curved brush with fine bristles that coats the product on to each lash giving special attention to the inner lashes, finally saving you from the struggle to maneuver it in all different angles.
  • The ultra-creamy, fibrous texture comes in a formula that’s not too dry, not too wet, lightweight and intensely black. This unique formula also boosts the growth of your natural lashes, fuels thickness and strength on regular use.
  • The SUGAR Uptown Curl Lengthening Mascara is paraben-free.
  • Easy removal with warm water or makeup remover. One swipe of either loosens the film and allows the formula to slide off easily.
  • Made in Taiwan.

PRICE : INR 499/- for a 5g product.

AVAILABILITY : You can buy the Sugar Uptown Curl Lengthening Mascara HERE.

SHADES : Available in the shade “01 Black Beauty (Black)“.

How to Apply : Prepare for the lash lift! Hold your mascara and position the wand in such a way that the claw brush spoons the curve of your lashes. Starting from the root, sweep the wand upward, guiding the shape of your lashes. For extra definition and fullness, wiggle the brush from side to side. Apply multiple coats for volume. Now move to your lower lashes: smoothen the lashes with the hollow side of the brush, from the center to the outer corner and return towards the inner corner of the eyelid. The result: incredible control for insane lashes!

List of Ingredients : Water, Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, Synthetic Beeswax, Candelilla Cera, Polyester-5, Palmitic Acid, Paraffin, Oryza Sativa (Rice Bran) Wax, Stearic Acid, Triethanolamine, Ammonium Acrylates Copolymer, Nylon-6, Glycol Montanate, 1,3-Butylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Copernicia Cerifera Cera, Sudium Dehydrocetate, Caprylyl Glycol and Hydrated Silica. May contain CI 77266 (D&C Black 2).

Packaging, the Uptown Curl Lengthening Mascara comes in a pretty yet regular Sugar themed outer box which has all the details and description about the product on it. The shade name is also mentioned on the box. Inside housed is the mascara, which has a matte black body with a curved mascara wand applicator. The tube has the Sugar logo on one side and the product name and shade on the other side, and that’s it. The mascara tube is pretty light and convenient to carry in your handbags and makeup pouches just in case you wanna do a quick makeup, or re-touches.

With a normal curved mascara wand, this lightweight, jet black mascara coats all the lashes evenly, curls a little and lengthens the lashes in the first coat itself. The formula is pretty lightweight that you can opt for a second and a third coat of mascara as well, but what I observed is, because the bristles being a bit far from each other, when a second coat is applied the lashes clump up and don’t look much defined. By default, if you naturally have voluminous lashes then it’d look great on you, but for someone like me who has scarce lashes its not great to have clumpy messy lashes. It does coat the lower lashes greatly. For the claims it said, I don’t think it gives any crazy volume or so. And I wouldn’t expect with a curvy wand though. This is pretty much a lengthening mascara, if you’re looking for one.

If you’re looking for a curled or lifted lashes, you definitely gotta use your eyelash curler prior to applying the mascara. I pretty much coat my lashes for a good 15-30 seconds just to coat every lash with the formula. 👇🏼👇🏼

And here’s a lovely chocolate eye look created using this mascara.

Did you try this Sugar Cosmetics Uptown Curl Lengthening Mascara?? What are your thoughts on it?

You guys know how much I love and rave about TS Cosmetics and their products. My all time favorites has to be the Liquid Highlighters and the Velvety Eyeshadows. And now they’ve recently come up with Loose Pigments, in collaboration with my absolute time favorite makeup artist Tuba, naming this collection TS COSMETICS X MAKEUPBYTUBA Loose Pigments collection. This collection is first of its own and also probably in India because I’m sure we have never seen any Indian made brand making confetti glitter pigments. And this collection would most interest the creative makeup enthusiasts and makeup artists who’d love experimenting on new looks. These Loose Pigments are a collection of 14 glitter, confetti glitter and metallic shades. I was sent few of the shades from this collection which I’d be talking about in this post.

Since choosing between physical sunscreen and chemical sunscreen plays a vital role, in this post let us see what to look for and which kind of sunscreen to pick.

SUNSCREEN 101 : Everything You Need To Know About Sunscreens!

I know this post is up right after summer’s just finishing, but still sunscreens being everyday essential to our skincare I thought I’ll make a detailed post about them. If you followed me on my instagram platform, I recently re-shared few posts about sunscreens and different types of them, and I have been getting a lot of responses, queries and suggestions as well. Sunscreens being a really hypothetical topic, let’s break down few of the known/unknown things about sunscreens. And with a lot of questions like – What’s difference between physical and chemical sunscreen? How do you know which one is the best kind to use? Which sunscreen is least likely to cause breakouts or irritate sensitive skin? Which one will give your skin the most protection? let’s jump into the topic…

HOW TO DOUBLE CLEANSE |Key to Clearer and Better Skin

The art of Double Cleansing method is first introduced by Korean women use to achieve clear skin. Koreans are known for their clear and bright glass-like skin, which we all envy. It involves washing your face in two steps; first by using an oil-based cleanser, followed by a water-based cleanser. The first step draws out oil-based impurities such as sebum, SPF, and pollutants while the second step cleanses water-based debris such as sweat and dirt. It is basically like you wash your face twice, but with two different products. It is simple, yet time consuming, but it gives the best results and it’s probably the best thing you’re doing to your skin.

Serum Foundations are the trending trend now and one of the newest launches of Sugar Cosmetics is what I’m going to review today, the DROP THE BASE SERUM FOUNDATION which is launched in 10 shades, and I’d say that’s a pretty good start by Sugar to have 10 different shades in its first launch itself. And Sugar always extends its line, so I’m expecting more shades to come out in future. In this post, I’ll be talking about this new Serum Foundation.

I am not that kind of a person who applies blush every single day, nor I wear for any occasions. But still my blush collection is so high, I dunno I just love the blush shades. Every blush shade or blush palette I see, it tempts me so much. These Essence Silky Touch Blushes were also one such collection that made me get quite a few shades.
