From anti aging to skin rejuvenating properties, Gotu Kola, an age old Ayurvedic miracle ingredient is lately gaining so much fame and being widely used in most Indian beauty market. With its amazing skin restorative and magical benefits, the also known as Centella Asiatica, is said to be the Miracle Elixir for skin, as it truly is the ailment for so many health as well as skin issues. I clearly remember when Just Herbs introduced this ELixir and it went so hyped that I wanted to try it badly, but I couldn’t get to try for some reasons and I still have this in my wishlist. Absolutely love the way they kept the ingredients list so transparent; stating the entire thing that goes into the making along with the percentages of them. And I am so in love when a brand names a product and that’s what you get to see in the ingredients; I’m someone who first looks into the ingredients and checks them if the product name truly is\matches what goes into it. Well, here is the one. I love the fact that this Gotukola and Indian Ginseng Beauty Elixir has the first ingredients as Gotukola and Indian Ginseng itself, with the proportions being mentioned. I also see some amazing herbs like Indian Senna, Liqourice, Indian Chestnut, and cold-pressed oils like Jojoba and Wheatgerm, there’s also Moringa Seed oil; there’s Shea butter as well.

Packaging, the elixir comes in a cute little dark brown, glass bottle. It comes housed in a beautiful pastel mint green colored outer cardboard box which has all the essential details about the product on it. The bottle has got a pump mechanism, but sadly mine does not work..like when I try to pump out the product it shoots out and goes everywhere on my clothes and things, so that’s a bummer for me. Anyways things like this happens, so not a big deal though.

The elixir has a lightest yellowish white color, thin lotion consistency with barely mildly herb-ey fragrance to it which is gonna subside in few minutes of application. The application is very easy and smooth, and the lightweight formula very quickly absorbs into the skin. I have the 15ml bottle and I have been using it for more than 2 weeks now in my morning and night routine religiously. And I think this little bottle lasts a month or a month and a half, because I already see mine half empty. I would need a pump and a half for my full face and neck (I’d never leave my neck area alone).

First thing, for a long time I am being on active ingredients in my skincare routine and suddenly shifting to botanical skincare I was worried how my skin would act for a sudden routine change, but to my surprise I never did break out the whole time I was using it. If I had to say one thing about this little elixir, it’be that this overall improved my skin. It gives enough ‘hydration’ as soon as applied for my combination skin and for the hot days I think I’d just be enough with this elixir and top with an SPF. But for now, I top with my moisturizer and then SPF over the elixir in my A.M routine. Dry skin people would definitely need an extra moisturizer to keep up with their skincare game though. My skin has this healthy and nourished glow every morning I wake up, and I’m so in love with it. Over the time, it definitely invigorates and rejuvenates the skin for a healthy look. I think it’s too quick to talk about this elixir work on fine lines and wrinkles because it just needs so much time and consistent use to give my proper thoughts on it, but I can surely say that it worked on my dark circle which I developed due to immense mental stress and sleepless nights. I could see quite an improvement in my skin under the eyes. This elixir is truly amazing!

If you’re looking for an overall skin serum, and mostly if you wanna encourage our Indian beauty brands then this is the one. With no side effects, and no harsh chemical usage, Just Herbs is one brand you should definitely give a try and this Gotukola Indian Ginseng Skin Rejuvenating Beauty Elixir is a must try!
