Packaging, the Sugar All Set To Go Translucent Powder comes in a really cute packaging. Comes with a outer box which has the Sugar theme going on and details of the product with the specifications etc. on the box itself. Inside resides the powder which comes in a clear plastic convex-squared box with a matte black flip open cap. The cap has the Sugar logo printed on it and below is a label with the ingredients list. As soon as we open the cap we get to have the cutesy square powder puff plotted above and a full sized mirror, which is a yay for me. Below the puff is the powder which is sealed with a plastic tape. It has these small holes through which the powder dispenses out. Overall, the packaging is simple, compact and convenient for travelling as well.

I’ve tried this All Set To Go Translucent Powder a couple of times with my makeup looks and OMG! I’m so in love with it. This translucent powder is a white colored powder and it has the silkiest texture ever. To the touch itself it feels silky smooth and just blends in seconds for a flawless finish and locks in the base. It has a very light weight formula. Even though the powder is white, I did not find any harsh white cast on my face. This is a universal shade translucent powder, and would suit all skin tones. It blurs out any imperfections or the creasing of the foundation and gives a flawless base. And I love the fact that it did not accentuate any of my dry patches. This powder  is good to use for setting the foundation and also for baking the makeup.

I use this translucent powder both ways – to bake my under eyes mostly when I have heavy makeup on, and to set my foundation when I go with natural daily-wear looks. The puff is quite good for dabbing in, but I’m comfortable in using a fluffy powder brush for the application. I use the puff for touch ups. The powder sets your base into a smooth canvas for further makeup application. Even if the foundation has a dewy finish, setting it with this translucent powder takes away the shine and mattifies the skin. I’m not a primer person, so I don’t generally use primers much when I do my makeup and this powder made the appearance of my pores much smaller without any primer. And I love the way this powder lasted for 6+ hours without any smearing. I could still feel the smoothness of the powder after four hours or so, surprisingly. I have oily skin, and very quickly my skin gets oily after a few hours of applying makeup, but his powder controlled the shine and oiliness of my skin and my base could stay flawless much longer.

Talking about the cons of this translucent powder, the no.1 con is that there’s hell lot of wastage. I took out the seal completely and once forgot to place the puff in place, and threw it in my makeup bag. And guess what, it was a complete mess game – the powder was everywhere spilling out, on the mirror, on my clothes and on my hands, all of which goes waste. And also I feel it’s difficult to pick the powder directly from the slot, like there’s no way to shake the box to let the powder comes automatically without any mess. So I’d rather pour the powder in my hands and stipple my brush to pick it up and then dab it on my face. In this way, I feel there’s no wastage though.

  1. Cute, compact and impressive packaging.
  2. Momes with a puff applicator and a full sized mirror.
  3. Very light weight formula.
  4. Super silky smooth texture.
  5. Sets the base to a flawless finish.
  6. Blurs out any creases and makes the appearance of pores smaller.
  7. Mattifies giving a fresh natural look.
  8. Controls the shine for a long time.
  9. Stays matte and shine free for longer period.

  1. Becomes a lot messy if the puff is misplaced.
  2. Lot of wastage of the powder.

Sugar All Set To Go Translucent Powder Review 9

Overall, except for the mess factor, I totally and completely love this new Sugar All Set To Go Translucent Powder. Being an oily skinned girl, I have to make sure my base doesn’t smudge and move irrespective of what kind of foundations and concealers I wear. So I have to and have to set-set-and-set my face with a powder. And for years I’ve been a fan of Kryolan Translucent powder, and now I’ve found another love. Truly an  amazing setting powder which blurs out the imperfections and mattifies the base giving a natural smooth canvas. It stays on matte and shine free for good 6+ hours. I’d definitely recommend this powder to everyone.
