Serums are always my top preference when it comes to skincare, rather than the moisturizers. I love to use serums all the time for its deep penetrating and skin beneficial properties. When It’s Skin, a popular Korean skincare brand launched in India at Nykaa, I obviously went through a bunch of products which I could get and I came across these serums. These are pretty much popular all over Korea and have a great feedback, and so I thought it’s my turn to try these out. Here I am, with two of the It’s Skin Power 10 Formula Effector Serums. The Power 10 Formula Effector Serum product line is a cult favorite line of 13 highly potent serums that each includes a concentrated active ingredient for each serum type.

From a wide range to choose from, it was definitely a tough task to decide what you need. So here’s a little guide to sort your confusion.

I picked 2 of the serums for my skin type and need – VE Effector & WH Effector.

All of the Power 10 Formula Serums are priced at INR 950/- for a 30ml product. These are available at Nykaa exclusively, and also on Amazon.

These effectors are to be used as serums. Apply them to freshly cleansed skin (after toning if you use toner) and follow up with your favorite moisturizer. If you have multiple skin problems you want to target, you can use two effectors and layer them.

It’s Skin Power 10 Formula WH Effector helps to supress the production of melanin and effectively reduce dark spots and discolouration. It contains unique blend of natural active ingredients that leaves skin brighter and plumper with enhanced clarity.

  • Evens out skin’s discoloration
  • Controls the production of melanin
  • Helps in reducing dark spots and blemishes
  • Has nourishing ingredients that enhances the beauty of skin

INGREDIENTS : Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Polyglutamic Acid, Arbutin, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Dipropylene Glycol, Ethyl Hexanediol, Carbomer, Ethylhexylglycerin, Triethanolamine, Disodium Edta, Fragrance, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract

The WH Effector is a whitening essence with Arbutin to brighten up your skin tone and lighten pigmentation. It also has Liqorice root extract in lesser quantity probably, which is why it’s listed at the end. This serum can control tyrosinase and inhibit the formation of melanin with anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. This serum also claims to reveal brighter skin tone and reduce freckles and pigmentation.

The serum comes in a white colored glass bottle which has a dropper, for easy application. I like the shape of the dropper at the end, which is slightly bent – that’s quite unique. But I’m little disappointed that there’s no details provided about the product, and most of it being in Korean language. There’s no outer box even, it only comes sealed good – that’s it. If you’re comfortable carrying a glass bottle while travelling, then this would be a good travel-friendly one, otherwise nope.

The WH Effector has a clear runny essence like formula. It almost has no fragrance. It gets absorbs very quickly into the skin. It does have a little bit of tackiness, on my oily skin. This serum has a mild artificial fragrance – some floral hints I could smell. I am okay with the fragrance, but people with sensitive nose might find it quite overpowering. This was the first serum I tried from the entire range, probably for the claims it gave, because after all everyone wishes for a bright glowing skin. And I felt even more happy when this serum actually started to show results on my skin. It really does its job. I found my skin glowing and look plump every morning. I use this in my morning and night routine, sometimes layering over the VE effector. Besides hydrating the skin to some extent, it definitely gave a brighter skin. Ofcourse it took a month time to actually show up its effect, but it was totally a worth being consistent on it.

It’s Skin Power 10 Formula VE Effector is an ultra-lightweight formula the gets quickly absorbed in skin and delivers an enhanced complexion. It expertly works in boosting elasticity of skin making it healthy, smooth and radiant.

  • Boost skin’s elasticity and vitality
  • Has the goodness of Vitamin E
  • Enhances skin’s texture
  • Makes skin healthy, soft and smooth
  • Has nourishing ingredients that enhances the beauty of skin

INGREDIENTS : Water, Rosa Centifolia Flower Water, Butylene Glycol, Polyglutamic Acid, Centella Asiatica Extract, Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dipropylene Glycol, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Ethyl Hexanediol, Stearic Acid, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Vegetable Oil, Ethylhexylglycerin, Dimethicone, Phenyl Trimethicone, Tocopheryl Acetate, Disodium Edta

This VE effector comes in a cute pink colored, see-through glass bottle. I adore these entire Power 10 Formula serums, they’re just so simple but adorably packed. Each serum has a different colored bottle, which is cute. This one has the same kind of slant-end dropper for easy application.

This serum is a thick serum like, viscous white colored. And has a mild tolerable fragrance. This serum has a lightweight formula, and quickly gets absorbed into the skin right away. And it leaves the skin well hydrated and luminous, without any greasy or tacky feeling. I wouldn’t actually and really not invest in a Vitamin E serum because after all we can seriously get other Vitamin E serums/capsules at much less price, but I somehow wanted to try this one and it was really good that I discovered this bottle of goodness.

I use this serum, sometimes alone and sometimes in concoction with the VC Effector, as I’ve heard people say that this combination is a bomb. So, if I’m using it in my morning routine, I use this alone and do my minimal makeup if necessary. And in my night routines, I use the VE+VC effectors mix. I make sure I’m not using Vitamin C in mornings and step out in the sun, even though my sunscreen is an essential step. This serum gives a beautiful dewy glow despite hydrating the skin and I wake up with a soft, smooth and plumpy skin. I was absolutely impressed and in love with this one. If you’re a dry skinned beauty and someone who only uses serum in your skincare, then this might not be great in terms of hydration. You need an extra step of moisturizer in your routine.

To conclude, I’m very much impressed with these It’s Skin Power 10 Formula Effector serums. I’ve recently bought the VC Effector, which I’m testing it out and will review it soon. I’d definitely recommend these to everyone, coz there’s everything for everyone, every skin type. So,you just need to know what your skin needs and which effector serum you wanna pick.

I’m right now confused whether to repurchase these, or to try out any new ones from this range. If you’ve tried anything from this Power 10 Formula range and did work for you, please lemme know. I’d love to know about it, and probably might give a try. I’ve heard the YE Effector be the most popular one in Korea, so I might pick that soon.
