Coastal Scents was one brand I’d always see people talk about and rave about their products. This was the best ever makeup brand that anyone could possibly start their makeup journey. Sadly, I could never get my hands on them. But, recently I had a shocker mail – asking for a Coastal Scents Collaboration by The Carro App. This was one of the best things that happened in 2019, and I immediately proceeded with it. Almost a month later, I received my package at my doorstep and yay! most excited.

Yes, I have ordered a bunch of products, but for this post I’ll make it purely for all the Hot Pot and Blush Pot collection; the eyeshadows and blushes. Because, I literally have all of the shades, and in addition, I chose two empty palettes too for my Hot Pots.

A 26mm metal pan that contains a highly pigmented eye shadow for multiple applications. And the blushes are a 36mm magnetic pan fits perfectly into your palettes. Each Coastal Scents Hot Pot fits snugly into one of the Interchangeable Palettes. Mix and match shades to create the perfect combination of blush, customized just for you. This allows you to completely customize your palette to create any look by simply adding interchangeable Hot Pots from the vast collection of shades, hues, and finishes.

PRICE : $3 for the eyeshadows & $4 for the blush, bronzers. These pots are always on sale, where you can grab the eyeshadows for less than a dollar($0.99) and blushes for $2.

AVAILABILITY : coastalscents.com

The eyeshadows come in all finishes; matte, metallic, shimmer, satin etc. While the blushes come in Matte and satin finish.

I did pick up a ton of eyeshadows keeping in mind my complexion; I wanted something that goes good on my deep skin. The same goes with the blushes and bronzers. With that, you guessed it right, I did not pick up much of the nudes or pale shades.

All of them, like literally all these eyeshadows and blush/bronzers have amazing formula, great pigmentation and easy to work with formula. They’re very finely milled and have a velvety texture. These can be build for a max pigmentation. I totally love the mattes, they are so heaven. I’m glad they’re not chalky at all. And you need a good buffing brush or a blending brush to avoid harsh patches while working with mattes. Also, the golds, coppers and bronzey shades are most amazing from the metallic/shimmer family. A wet brush would seriously amp up the finish of the shimmers I should say.

Here are the swatches of all the eyeshadows. I wanted to make everything in one go, and that’s the reason I swatched all the shades at once; only then you’d be able to compare each of them.

The Blush Pots are also great! They’ve like medium-buildable pigmentation except for . That’s how the blushes have to be. I love the smooth velvety formula of them which makes them apply effortlessly.

Did you try Coastal Scents Hot Pots and/or Blush Pots?? What are your thoughts on them?
