KEY INGREDIENTS :

  • Centella Asiatica extract – Centella Asiatica is best-known for its wound-healing abilities. So-called “tiger grass” from the legend that tigers would roll around over this grass to heal wounds. CICA soothes and reduces skin inflammation.
  • Sodium Hyaluronate – It enhances moisture content, revitalizes skin’s outer surface layers, softens, and improves dry skin.
  • Panthenol – Panthenol is a perfect active ingredient for sensitive skin. When absorbed into the body, panthenol becomes vitamin B. It soothes and restores tired skin and strengthens the skin barrier. It helps calm redness and soothes sensitive skin.
  • Madecassoside, Asiaticoside, Asiatic Acid, Madecassic Acid – All being Centella Asiatica derivatives which heal the skin, soothes, and improves the skin barrier and cell growth.
  • Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract – Best astringent for oily-combination skin. It relieves skin inflammation, skin irritation and keeps the pores clean by clearing sebum production. Witch Hazel, using directly on the face is not recommended, but when formulated with other soothing ingredients becomes a great Toner, even for dry and sensitive skin.

Packaging, the Purito Centella Unscented Toner comes in a clear frosted kind of. very sturdy plastic bottle with the brand labeling and description about the product on it. It does come with the outer cardboard box too for other details of the product. It is a very basic bottle with a small hole for the toner to drip. Can be used with either any cotton pad or just pour onto the palm and pat on the face; I prefer the latter.

The toner has a clear watery consistency but thick as an essence. It is lightweight and quick absorbing. I love how the next steps of the skincare are so effortlessly layer-able over this toner. Like said, this is absolutely fragrance-free, essential oil-free making it a great suit for dry and sensitive skin people. This toner is best recommended to be used in the AM and PM routines, which I definitely followed.

I be really generous with this toner, Idkw, like I take about 8-10 drops (or sometimes less, but not anything more than 10 drops) of the toner into my palms and slather on my face. Pat, pat, pat it all over my face and neck. I hate to use cotton pads for toners and that’s totally my preference. I use it in my AM and PM routines, and still use it in my morning routine but I switched to an exfoliating toner in the nights these days. It beautifully hydrates my skin and keeps it supple. Having combination skin, I simple use my other two serums and finish with an SPF, and call it off. I don’t need any more moisturizers (again, my own preference). With 10% Centella Asiatica extracts, Sodium Hyaluronate, and so many Centella derivative extracts this toner could not be any more calming on any irritable skin. It instantly soothes skin irritations, redness and relaxes the skin. And Purito really made the best decision to make a EO-free and fragrance free version. I did try more concentrated Witch Hazel toners before, on my skin but they were all a little irritating on my skin. But this toner did not cause any issues on my skin..like absolutely nothing. And because of its lower pH, it is only going to maintain a healthy skin barrier.

I also use this toner as a mixing agent in some of the clay masks; 1. it dilutes the thick clay mask consistency and 2. the skin gets extra hydration from the toner. Idk how funny or weird it is, but I like to use up my huge hydrating toners or sometimes even the exfoliating toners this way.

I’d definitely recommend this Purito Centella Unscented Toner to anyone looking for soothing or super hydrating toners with minimal and clean ingredients. I did not find any cons about this amazing toner. I did not even have issues for the Witch Hazel in here, but if you’re someone who’s really concerned about it I’d suggest you patch test first and go on with full face usage. I really wish Purito gives out samples of their products, because investing on such a big bottle and then realizing something going bad would give a heartbreak. I mean this would apply to every brand actually. Anyhow, this beautiful toner is an absolute star and a must-have for all skin types.

Rating: 5 out of 5.
